We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. As for this picture. I first painted it grey in SAI and then used water brush with black and white colors to add lighter and darker areas. After that was done I changed to Photoshop where I used the color balance tool and curves... tool to get the colors I wanted. I would have posted a video demonstrating this, but I couldn't find any.
I should propably have spend more time at shading it in SAI. Especially the hair which look kind of bland now. Hopefully I'll find some time to recolor this someday.
